I led Team Koops on my 9th annual Step Out Walk for Diabetes with the American Diabetes Association! My friends, family and new type 1 friends all came out to help raise awareness and money for a cure! I really like the ADA walk because it also raises funds for scholarships to send children with diabetes to diabetes summer camps where they can meet other kids with diabetes, make connections and build relationships that will last them a lifetime.
