With the help of the VERY BEST Co-Captain ever, Kiki Vale, I completed my very first Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes walk. Our team raised over $17,000 together in our fight to find a cure for diabetes! We had so much fun!
It was a beautiful day, we had entertainment with Brian Wismer from Wizz Entertainment and we gave away tons of prizes! Former Chicago Bears player, Marcus Robinson came out to show his support and walked with us. Marcus signed tons of autographs that day and he also spoke to the crowd about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and exercising. I was really honored to have him there on my behalf! I won a signed Chicago Bears jersey’s from Jay Cutler and Marcus Robinson and I had a signed Brian Urlacher jersey donated to me from a really nice family because they were proud of all my hard work!! I met some really amazing people that day and I was so happy to see all the support that was there for diabetics. My sisters and lots of their friends all came to the walk too and raised over $500! Kiki was the best Co-Captain ever and I can’t wait until next year!!! Thanks Kiki!!!
